...not

This is my last post before I fly back to Singapore, just an update on what happened today.

I woke up early in the morning and had breakfast. I also had to finish packing my luggage and to ensure that I didn't miss anything (I still did though). I threw away all the leftover food, I felt like a sinner. I headed to campus early to get the boarding pass printed, I didn't manage to do it though. The SIA system is dumb and should be revised.  I caught the bus and headed for the train station.

Silly me reached too early and I had to wait an hour for the train. While browsing the magazines at the bookstore, I saw one of the SEA people. The train to London took almost 2 hours, I noticed very few people on the train. I will write to here and continue another time or maybe later. I'm too tired from all the walking I did.

Gammon...what?

Yesterday I joined my flatmates for a English Christmas dinner. We had the usual fare such as baked potatoes, carrots, cabbage, bacon, sausages, mashed potatoes & gammon. There are also cheesecake and ice cream for dessert.

Gammon? What?

For those who are unaware Gammon is from an Old Northern French word "Gambe" for hind- leg of the pig or ham.

It tasted like roasted pork (of course, it's pork) but more salty. For someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas, it was quite an experience.

Dinner: That is unhealthy

I just cooked up and ate probably one of the most unhealthy dinners I had till date. This is of course not inclusive of dinners I had outside.

What I had:

Ham & cheese pizza, popped it into the oven
3 X fried chicken wings, deep fried on my pan
Self-made fries, I overdid these, some were burnt

I will be trying out the chicken curry before I'm back in Singapore. I just have to try and find a slightly bigger pot.

Back from Birmingham

After a weekend over at Birmingham, I'm back in Norwich. I will post up some photos soon.

Testing my tissue flash diffuser

When taking photos of anything that is reflective, that irritating spot of your flash reflecting back at you in the photo is obviously very visible (ignore the top part of the poster, that's the reflection of my room's fluorescent lamp). Both photos are taken using the same settings. The one on the left has a huge reflection of the camera's flash. The one on the right has a reflection of the camera's flash, less irritating though, at least I'm able to see Ike clearly in this one.

The purpose of this post is just to show the new poster that I just bought.

Model shoot in the snow

These models were very cooperative even though it was freezing out there. This is the first snow of this winter.

Funny Chicken Video

I saw this video and thought it was rather interesting to watch.

My own version of a Ramly Burger

I just made my own version of a Ramly Burger for lunch.

1 sesame seed burger bun
1 quarter pound beef burger
1 egg
Some lettuce
Chilli sauce

It tasted very nice and is considerable an easy meal with preparation time under 10 minutes.

1) Defrost quarter pound beef burger - 2 min
2) Cook quarter pound beef burger - 4 min
3) Cook egg - 1 min
4) Add quarter pound beef burger, egg, lettuce & chilli sauce to sesame seed burger bun - 2 min

The seemingly non-stop snow

It has been snowing since yesterday.

I don't get a lot of opportunities to take photos of Citroen C4's here.
