Another buy

I just came back from the PC Show and made another purchase.

Western Digital Elements 250GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

It cost me $120. The additional 250GB would be rather handy.

I'm a scholar

Not really.

I'm awarded a scholarship. (so they say) Well, at least I get to enjoy a substantial reduction to my tuition fees.

Why UK?

I get many friends asking why I decided to further my studies in the UK, instead of either doing it locally or at Australia. (which was more popular with Singaporeans)

Here's why:
  • In the UK, I can obtain honours in three years. Whereas in Australia, it would take four years.
  • Tuition fees are actually much cheaper in the UK, compared to tuition fees in Australia.
  • The school term in Australia starts in February 2009 whereas the school term in UK starts in September 2008.
  • Why does it matter? Simply because I ORD in September 2008. Rather than allowing myself to have an excuse to lazy around for nearly half a year, I figure it would be a good idea to start studying soon.

The point of this blog

Every blog exists for a purpose. This one is to update family and friends of my life in the UK.

Three months' from now, I will be heading to Norwich, UK. To those who still have no idea, I will be doing a three year programme in accounting at the University of East Anglia.
